Final Project

This week we had to work on our final project. I chose to make a maze game. I have 3 levels. I originally was going to do something else that I m mentioned in a previous blog post but changed my mind.  I thought this project overall was kind of frustrating because my computer was slow and was kind of difficult.

In this assignment we had to switch backgrounds. I switched from an outdoor to an airport.   

Game Idea

The goal of my game is for the cat to eat the mice. Each level of my game will get harder. There will be about 3 or 4 levels. The levels can get harder by the mice going faster, or enemies meaning if you get those things you lose points, or there could possibly even be a time limit and a goal of how many mice you need to eat. Level 1 will take place in a desert, level 2 will take place in a hay field, and level 3 will take place in on a hill. The levels will get harder as it goes on.

10 Block Challenge

 This week we did a ten block challenge where we used only 10 blocks on scratch.com.
This activity gave me a feel on how to use scratch because I could only use certain ones so I had to be creative.
The 10 block challenge restricts my ideas a bit because you can't use any other blocks but you can use the blocks as many times as you want.

Reflection
1.What was surprising about this activity? It was surprising that it was so easy. I thought it would be much harder.
 2.How did it feel to be led step by step through this activity? I don't think I needed it but it was good just in case I didn't know what I was doing.
3. As a learner..
 -When do you have more structure?
 I have more structure when I have instructions given by a teacher.
 -When do you like having more freedom?
When I get to figure out how to do something on my own.
-When do you feel most creative?
I feel most creative when I have few guidelines and only a general topic for projects.

The 1st few days

The summer before 8th grade my friend and I decided to go to camp for a week. The camp was called Camp Runels and it was in Pelham, New Hampshire. When I first got there and said goodbye to my parents everything was Ok and I was so excited for the week. After the first day was finished I started to get a little homesick even though I wan't that far away but as the next day came I didn't feel that way anymore and got excited for the rest of the week.

The next few days

The next few days were all a blur because I was having so much fun! We did so many things like tie dye and swim and go boating and hiking.

The last day

As I woke up on the last day I was excited to go home but sadto leave. I loved camp so much I went next summer for a week and then the next summer for 2 weeks and this summer I am goingfor 3 weeks.

When I wasin elementary SchoolI went to a School called Linden which was located in Malden Ma. 6th grade was my last year there. In 7th grade I moved to Everett Ma and went to a school called Lafeyette. finally in 8th grade I moved to Reading and for my last year of middle School I went to Coolidge.

My favorite courses

So far my favorite courses have been Acting which I took 1st semester of this year and 3D art which I took 2nd Semester in Coolidge.
